Our client, a large national Children's Charity, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Public Affairs Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
The successful Public Affairs Manager will become an integral part of the department becoming responsible for developing and driving forward the charity's public affairs programme to influence the Government in addressing a range of issues affecting young disabled people in the UK.
The Public Affairs Managers duties will include; formulating the charity's public affairs strategy, building cross party support for the charity and its agreed policies in Westminster and Whitehall, and working regularly with the PR Manager on the relevant topical issues in the political arena, updating them on the current lobbying activities to support the delivery of the charity's PR strategy which is focused on securing national and mainstream coverage.
The successful applicant will have significant experience of managing people, as they will be responsible for supporting and coaching the Campaign Assistants and experience of organising events is also desirable.
