My client a national charity is recruiting a Communications Manager to develop, implement and deliver a proactive National Communications & PR Strategy. This includes the running of specific promotional campaigns and the management of ongoing Media Relations as well as providing Communications, PR, marketing resources and guidance and support to the staff and volunteer networks.
Essential Skills:
- Proven Marketing Communications experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of self-motivation and initiative and the ability to motivate others.
- Strong presentation, public speaking, influencing and leadership skills.
- A proven track record in project/ campaign management.
- Confident use of the Internet as well as standard office IT packages
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience of managing and handling National Media Relations, from an in-house or agency background.
- A degree or relevant media-related qualification
- Experience of media relations within the education sector and/ or an understanding of the education sector
- Web site management or design experience
- Experience of editing newsletters and/ or desktop publishing
- An understanding of the design and print process
