Premier publisher, marketer & developer of proprietary and licensed video game software for a variety of hardware platforms. My client a worldwide publisher and developer of games and interactive entertainment require a Product Marketing Manager for the Copenhagen office.
The role:-
Maximise retail presence in the Nordic territories through creating, implementing and monitoring effective title by title, quarterly and annual marketing strategies with leading Nordic specialist, generalist and independent retailers.
Build and maintain relationships with retail marketing and retail buying staff and work alongside Nordic Sales & Marketing Director and KAM's to leverage all sales opportunities with effective trade marketing activity.
Managing the product marketing budget for Nordic territories to pre-arranged corporate targets.
Working with Sales & Marketing Director, handle the overall direction of all Marketing activities in Nordic with regard to the planning, development and implementation of marketing plans and programmes, working with the Global Brand Directors to develop and drive Nordic marketing strategy
Conducting necessary market, competitor and product research.
Determining localisation requirements after consultation with Sales & Marketing Director. Responsible for Nordic sign-off on product box and documentation.
Manage any external agencies, devise and manage a comprehensive trade marketing compliance strategy in the Nordic to ensure that activity is implemented to a satisfactory standard.
Continually monitor facings and stock levels at retail communicating on a consistent basis to the sales team where opportunities exist to generate re-orders.
Explore potential for permanent facings in both national and independent retail sectors as briefed by the Nordic Sales & Marketing Director. Within this explore specific platform strategies such as permanent GBA bays etc.
Manage POS requirements, delivery and costs on a timely basis.
Carry out post mortem reports on trade marketing effectiveness vs. sales performance on a title and/or account basis.
Profile:
Fluent English, both written and spoken, is critical
The successful candidate will be a dynamic professional with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in interactive media sales, marketing and public relations.
He or she will have a good understanding of the computer games industry new media technology and a strong track record in the industry with a proven portfolio of networks in order to leverage commercial advantage.
The successful candidate will be clear thinking, creative and analytical, combining a strong sense of purpose with sensitivity to the aims of the global organisation.
He or she will have a proven track record of helping to achieve revenue, profit and inventory targets
A keen interest in gaming is desirable.
Excellent management, coaching and mentoring experience
Ability to present well at senior management level would be a distinct asset
Good organisation skills are essential.
Computer literate with proven experience of Excel and PowerPoint essential.
Ability to handle large workloads and deliver appropriate materials/activity on time
Must work well within a team but have the ability to think on their feet and work under their own initiative
