Marketing Manager (FMCG Food) Midlands to £49k

The Role
Reporting to the UK Food Marketing Director and with a Brand Manager reporting in, you will be at the front end of decision making in the most profitable division of this FMCG giant, enabling the business to maintain its growth and leadership position in the UK. An accomplished strategist, your role will be to drive continuing growth, developing a clear brand strategy in the UK, focussed on achieving the step change needed to unlock the full potential of this brand.
Your entrepreneurial flair and business acumen means you will have your "finger on the pulse" ensuring you are aware of competitor activity, opportunities and threats and consumer trends, constantly monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of your activities to ensure they align with the business plan. You will develop and deliver the integrated communications plan for the UK, working with advertising, media and PR agency teams to ensure effective brand communications are developed and delivered in order to drive brand growth, always evaluating and re-planning as necessary.
Working with our European marketing team your experience and knowledge will help to develop an innovation pipeline for the brand, whilst your ability to communicate with and engage others, particularly within sales, category management and customer marketing, will ensure delivery of the marketing plan.
You
Ideally you will have previous experience of building brands and able to approach this challenge as though you were running your own business. As a marketing professional you will demonstrate competence in strategy deployment, market intelligence acquisition, consumer insights and communications development. Whilst much is achieved with and through the teams that support this function you should have the ability to stand alone, confident in your decision making even if information is incomplete or conflicting.
This is a business critical role that demands clarity of vision and purpose, the competence to determine strategy and the courage to change it if needed. The ability to communicate clearly with passion and purpose, the energy to drive initiatives, and the interpersonal skills to gain commitment from colleagues on the way will help define your success in this role

Rewards are as you would expect from a market leader. A competitive salary of up to £49000. plus additional take-home includes company performance bonus and a personal performance bonus.
