Job Description

Account Director

Our Client is a full service, cross disciplined marketing agency, interactive media is the fastest growing area of their business, they are passionate about what they do and how they do it.

They have a select range of blue chip clients and have built a reputation for demystifying the role of the channel as a commercial tool. They produce award winning work in over 30 markets in 25 languages. Our interest has always been in what the media can add to our clients' sales and marketing ambitions.

Specific Account responsibilities:

  • The role requires strong management of a diverse range of clients who range from senior brand managers to marketing executives;
  • The Account Director will be responsible for the day-to-day project delivery of output for all of the creative and technical work produced for these clients;
  • The role requires strong time management, project management and a proactive nature;
  • Knowledge of Interactive is essential.Additional knowledge of print, direct mail and POS preferred;
  • Ideally, the chosen candidate will have previously worked on web builds and micro sites;
  • Impressive grasp of the creative and production process - to help maintain the highest levels of finished creative work across the account and contribute to further award winning campaigns;
  • Previous FMCG experience is desirable, but not essential.

Skills and Experience Required:

Technical

  • Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook skills;
  • Good understanding of Interactive (80:20 digital to offline account);
  • Production and technical knowledge desirable;
  • Financial management & analytics (numeric skills);
  • Previous experience in digital is essential.

Professional

  • Presentation skills (oral expression);
  • Strong proactive thinker;
  • Team player;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Managerial

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
  • The ability to manage, develop, train and motivate team members;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential;
  • Able to manage multiple client relationships;

Character

The ideal candidate will be innovative, driven and have strong interpersonal skills. The ability to interact at a senior level with clients in order to develop the strategic direction of the business is essential. We're really looking for a team player who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty'. The Account Director should be adept at managing their own time but be equally able to support their team as well as the Client Services Director when required.
