Based in the city centre of Newcastle, our client is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to help drive the interactive element of their business forward. Candidates must have commercial experience of managing web design/development projects in a dedicated web agency environment.

You will have experience of all areas of project management, from planning and delivery through to maintenance, financial tracking and handling of client relationships. You will be educated to degree level, ideally with qualifications in established Project Management methodologies such as PRINCE2. Your role will involve being a day-to-day contact for clients and working directly with their design & development teams in order to deliver projects that surpass clients' expectations - on time and within budget. You will manage the preparation of project documentation; capturing project requirements and collaborating with the technical team in order to deliver functional and technical specifications.

You will also be responsible for the scheduling, resourcing and delivery of the project from planning and design through to implementation, testing and launch. You will have a sound knowledge of the financial side of project management: accurate costing of jobs and the timely provision of quotations and invoices. You will be confident and articulate; able to explain concepts and ideas as a representative of the client, as well as keeping projects on track during difficult parts of the process.

The right person will have:

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage web project teams, timescales and budgets.

You will have a sound understanding of the web design and development process, including:

Knowledge of Information Architecture, software engineering principles and database design
Ability to both produce and oversee website documentation including functional & technical specifications, sitemaps and wireframes.
Experience of Content Management Systems
You will also have a good understanding of, and be able to talk confidently about, the purpose, structure and application of the following technologies and concepts,

XHTML
CSS
Flash
JavaScript
Server-side languages such as PHP, (web address removed) , JSP
Databases
AJAX
Content Management, Affiliate Marketing, eCommerce and SEO.
Accessibility and standards

The candidate will also have a full Driving Licence.
