Job Description

A rapidly growing FMCG company is seeking for a talented Brand Manager to join their marketing team, to work on both an existing brand as well as developing a totally new concept and delivering it to market.  This will involve continuing to strengthen the brand values and image with consumers, retailers, and relevant opinion formers.  Deliver value sales in line with the business growth targets and drive value share growth ahead of the competition, to the agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION:

·         Help develop annual plans

·         Manage the day to day implementation of plans and activities

·         Review consumer trends and competitor NPD to Identify opportunities for new products

EVALUATION & ANALYSIS:

·         Evaluate and monitor the marketing initiatives and product performance and review and adapt the marketing plans and activities accordingly.

  COMMUNICATION & TEAM-WORKING:

·         Champion ranges with sales team through regular dialogue, presentations at team meetings and ongoing communication. 

·         Work closely with NPD team to develop new products for range extension

·         Work with research manager to ensure relevant insights and actions are captured and initiated relevant to ranges

LEADERSHIP & EXPERTISE:

·         Be the brand champion for the brands across the whole business so that people feel informed and empowered about the action and activity on the brands

·         Be clear on  product standards ensure that we clearly communicate our points of difference vs our competitors in all relevant forms of communication.

Qualifications and Experience:


Ideally, CIM or equivalent
Must have relevant FMCG marketing experience at a similar level
Experience in main areas of the marketing mix and NPD
Experience in a commercial environment
Ability to think strategically but desire to "roll up sleeves" and get stuck in to the day to day tasks
Strong communication, and team working
Able to take the initiative
