Our client is a very premium entrepreneurial food business that has a Retail and foodservice arm. This is a brand new role and focuses on developing the Retail brand. You will be the most senior marketer in the business and reporting to one of the founders you will be responsible for driving retail brand growth. This is a commercial brand marketing role and will not suit a purist strategic marketer. We are looking for someone who has experience of growing brands, through NPD and category management initiatives. Teams are lean so whilst you will need strong strategic thinking skills this is more about results and making things happen. A passion for food is essential. This is a fast paced, quick decision making environment where you can really make your mark.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a self-starter who will thrive in a lean, dynamic and fast paced business. With a background in FMCG brand marketing you will have a broad based classic brand marketing background and ideally have a proven track record of growing brands. Experience of NPD essential. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to spot opportunities and commercialise them effectively. You will have very strong interpersonal skills and be confident liaising at all levels. You will not be frightened of challenging and pushing your ideas through if you really believe in them. Your project management skills will be well honed and you will have excellent multi-tasking skills and enjoy juggling a number of projects simultaneously. You will be commercially minded with strong numerical/analytical skills and will have the creative flair to make small budgets go a long way. Definitely not right for an ivory tower marketer, this is a make it happen, roll sleeves type role.
