Interim Category Development Manager - Ireland

Euros 45,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Head to Ireland for this challenging role with one the world's leading FMCG companies with a host of delicious brands.  In this key role within a dynamic shopper marketing team, you'll be at the centre of the relationship between sales, marketing and our customers, developing the category strategy for a number of brands and using cutting-edge research to define ranging, merchandising and promotional plans.  In what is a hands-on and busy role, you'll develop category planograms in line with key insights & strategies, conduct competitor analysis and work closely with the category team to develop insights into new commercial propositions.  Initial 12 month contract but potential to extend contract or take on a permanent role.

Our Ideal Candidate

  

With experience gained in category management or insight, a track record of delivering commercial results and a solid understanding of channel-based merchandising, ranging and space planning in the FMCG arena, you will have the ability to turn merchandising strategy into retail reality and build key relationships to secure buy-in to your recommendations.  Strong analytical skills are also key to this role with the ability to cut through data and turn the numbers into clear recommendations.  Ideally you'll have worked with retailer EPOS data and AC Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby data and will able to use the appropriate software to manipulate the data and spot trends and issues.
