As Category & Activation Manager, your responsibility is to develop & implement the category strategy for a growing snacking manufacturer based North of London.  This strategy will 1) ensure category growth for key trading partners, predominantly those within the mult grocery channel, 2) establish our client's credentials as a category authority & 3) satisfy customer needs.  You will work closely with the consumer marketing team to develop brand strategies & plans, as well as the trade marketing team to prepare compelling selling stories & in-store execution.  It will also fall to you to be proactive, analytical & insightful; providing regular category & market updates & identifying category growth opportunities & distribution wins.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have a strong track record of success within FMCG marketing with a branded manufacturer.  Food experience would be an advantage, but is not mandatory.  You will have highly relevant category management/customer marketing experience & be looking for a new challenge where you can take more ownership of your own ideas.  You must be able to demonstrate experience of developing category relationships, participating in range reviews, developing rationale for new listings & distribution increases.  Strong analytical & commercial skills are essential, as is an open, collaborative, team orientated approach.  You will like working at pace in a dynamic & changing environment.
