Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join this leading FMCG company as a Customer Marketing Manager. The main purpose of the role is to be the facilitator between customer development, consumer and shopper marketing and rest of the business on all retail environment issues.

Your main responsibilities of the role will be to:
• Translate brand plans, shopper insight and retail knowledge into trading plans by Retail Environment which drive sales within given financial parameters.
• Lead development, communication and implementation of Retail Environment strategies both internally and externally with our trade partners.
• Lead the development, activation and measurement of specific Shopper Marketing programs.
• In light of brand plans and current/future market conditions, develop and adapt the commercial trading plans for the category (including NPD), sell to the sales teams and facilitate account-specific implementation.
• Leadership of category 5P issues. Own the 5P programme that supports the Brand, Category & Retail strategy.
• Key contributor to the commercial team, identifying and resolving opportunities and issues across retailers.
• Be the retail expert in store - obtain shopper insight and translate this into actionable in store strategies and tactics for key retailers.
• Deliver full promotional analysis of all in store activity to ensure most efficient promotion programme is delivered.
• Constant assessment of shopper and trade activities to generate recommendations to improve category & performance.

The ideal candidate will have an FMCG background, preferably from Customer, Trade or Category Marketing, although solid retail experience will also be considered. You will have a strong customer focus coupled with analytical thinking, accurate decision making and strong planning skills.
