This established and successful Guildford-based client has built an extensive portfolio of some of the world's most prestigious fashion and sport brands and they are looking for an experienced Account Planner / Key Account Manager who will be responsible for developing strong relationships with the assigned retail customers to support collaborative planning and supply chain optimisation.
This is with a view to ensure a robust demand / forecast plan and will optimise service levels through to the customer's service whilst minimising costs to support and supply.
The successful individual will be of graduate calibre with prior experience in FMCG, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Operations, Planning or Purchasing.
Excellent communication skills (both internally & externally) are a must with a high degree of self motivation & attention to detail.
AS400, SAP & Excel experience is highly recommended.
Experience with retailer databases and EDI ordering is also desirable Responsibilities can be grouped into three main areas:
- Working in a pivotal position between the customer and the internal sales and inventory teams, the role is accountable for the accuracy and administration of stock orders and forecasting with the respective customers.
- Analysis of shipments, of electronic point of sale (EPOS) and other retailer data is essential to support optimisation of extended supply chain performance.
- Working with the customers' logistics teams to ensure that agreed mechanics are being executed and to fine-tune plans in terms of volume and phasing with a view to develop and agree a collaborative demand plan.
- Interface with the order fulfillment process to ensure the delivery of superior customer service to retail accounts.
- Collate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and understand trends and to identify and address opportunities for improvement and customer development
- Develop professional contacts at multiple levels within the assigned customers' supply chain community, in order to build their respect and confidence in our expertise as truly collaborative supply chain partners.
