Job Description

Our client is a fresh, innovative and exciting FMCG business with an enviable brand portfolio and ambitious growth plans. Due to continued business growth, an interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insight Analyst.

The key remit of the role is the analysis of continuous data sets such as TNS, IRI, EPOS and Panel Data, with a view to providing the business with actionable consumer and competitor insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Download, clean and manipulate Account/Brand specific data weekly

  • Monthly standard reporting on brand performance; sales and gross margin
  • Deliver standard reports and responses to ad-hoc requests
  • Instigate initiatives which add value to consumer insight e.g. on-going pro-active analysis of data for Brand Reviews
  • Development of short-term tracking studies as necessary e.g. tracking NPD launches and discontinued products and comparing how they perform against each other within the market
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of category benchmarks and dynamics.
  • Accurate development and maintenance of continuous data such as IRI, TNS and AC Nielsen
  • Liaise with UK / International Sales and Marketing to develop and analyse key business insights.
  • Ad hoc projects as requested by the Marketing Controller.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an FMCG market analysis role with experience of analysing and interpreting continuous data sets such as TNS, IRI and AC Nielsen. You will be of graduate calibre, highly numerate and commercially astute with excellent attention to detail. Candidates without FMCG experience are still encouraged to apply but must have a track record of analysing and interpreting large data sets in a commercial and fast paced environment.
