Job Description

Our client is a leading Own Label Chilled Player within the FMCG arena, operating within one of fastest moving category areas they have a huge passion for both NPD led marketing and Food quality. Not only have they won numerous awards within the Retail Channel for ground breaking levels of growth an innovation; but they are the chosen authority on questions of category development within their product areas. In an exciting bid to further strengthen their hold on the market, they are now seeking to appoint candidates within the Category Management field.

As a Jnr Category Manager you will work directly for the Category Director in a focused role on one of the UKs leading Multiple retailers. In doing so you will gain exposure to Strategically Led Category Initiatives; gaining a vast insight into the Commercialisation of Brand & NPD Plans by operating as a key linchpin within a Matrix Led Business Unit. You will also be given the challenge contributing to an all encompassing 2012/2013 Category Audit of the Businesses Key Products.

Relevant Candidates will already be operating within either a Category or Trade Marketing capacity in a major FCMG Branded or Own Label player; the client is also willing to consider candidates from a Retailer or Commercial background. Furthermore the role requires a real can do mentality alongside a creative flair for solution focused thinking inside a dynamic corporate framework.
