Rare and exciting opportunity to join a leading global consumer goods company and take on responsibility for insight across a major product portfolio embracing high-profile brands and a huge range of products marketed throughout the world.  With responsibility for consumer, shopper and some specialist professional insight, and supported by a senior team of Insight Directors, your challenge is to lead the insight agenda, advising brand marketing, commercial and R&D teams at the most senior levels and across different countries and cultures.  This will include identifying global insights and trends at the category level, working with teams to embed these in marketing strategy, communications, innovation and broader category & business strategies.  In a company that places the consumer at its heart, you will use your strong influencing skills and deep understanding of best practice research, to deliver added value understanding that drives business growth in the short and longer-term.

Our Ideal Candidate

  

A strong strategic thinker with extensive experience gained in a senior client-side or perhaps agency role, you will have a proven track record of identifying research needs in multiple markets, and leading a wide range of consumer insight projects spanning all aspects of the mix.  A deep understanding of qual & quant techniques, ad-hoc and continuous, is essential as is the broader understanding of business, brand and marketing issues.  A capable and experienced team leader, you'll enjoy working with senior colleagues to deliver exceptional service and advice, with a willingness to champion new ideas and techniques to give the business a competitive edge in what are fast-paced and competitive product categories.  You will be financially savvy with a track record of managing large research budgets, building close, productive relationships with agency partners.
