The role of the insight consultant within this top consumer market information group is to bridge the gap between data and marketing by developing value-added analysis and delivering strategic insights to client marketing teams. With good communication and commercial skills, you will contribute to the growth of your business unit by developing client relationships, through your value-added insights into the dynamics of their markets and customers. This role can be based in this agency's HQ in the west of London, or on client site, giving you valuable 'in-house' experience and the chance to see how research and information is implemented in the marketing mix.
You should therefore be familiar with a range of consumer data sources and be able to bring together both continuous and ah-hoc/customised research to provide actionable recommendations to clients to address a range of marketing issues including: market share; competitor performance, category management, marketing strategy and segmentation. A background in the FMCG sector is prerequisite along with a strong quantitative/numerical grounding and the ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels and across marketing and non-marketing specialisations.
