Job Description

This well known retail business in the Midlands is currently recruiting for a Head of Trade Marketing to be responsible for all Trade Planning, Pricing and Promotional activity.

As Head of Trade Marketing you will also be responsible for managing the POS and Commercial support teams to ensure the trade plan is correctly executed, pricing policies are developed whilst communicating the overall business vision and strategy.

Other key areas of responsibility are as follows:

• Ensure the business meets sales budgets.
• Deliver best in class promotions and pricing within the customer tracker.
• Gather and analyse information from a variety of sources.
• Identify cause and effect relationships, patterns and trends.
• Manage team performance and deliver change effectively.
• Work closely with buying, category managers, merchandisers and senior commercial teams.
• Be innovative, always able to put the customer first.
• Champion customer requirements when developing the trade plan.

In order to be successful in this role you will have a strong marketing and customer insights background gained within FMCG / Retail, and ideally have gained experience within Buying/Commercial departments prior to a move into marketing. You will also have some experience managing people.
