Job Description

Senior Category Manager

Salary - £40,000 to £55,000  

Location - Flexible


My client is a global blue chip FMCG food business with a number of enviable and highly recognisable brands within their portfolio and they are currently recruiting for a Senior Category Manager to drive key category areas within their business.

Responsibilities will include; 

  • Add value to the category through NPD to meet changing consumer needs
  • Developing and implementing a consumer and customer driven strategic business plan
  • Support business account team internally and the buying, marketing and merchandising teams within the designated grocery multiple account.
  • Delivering category analysis and drawing relevant insight, working closely with the commercial team to deliver the annual market share targets.
  • Ensure the optimal fixture is deployed in the retail customer aligned to you and support the deployment across the total trade

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre with demonstrable experience within Category Management for a top FMCG business within a Top 4 retailer. Experience of working with data (ACNielsen and Dunnhumby) and managing P&L accounts is key, along with excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both internal and external parties.
