Category Executive FMCG (food) Kent - £30,000

This leading FMCG company has acquired a number of leading brands over recent years and specialises in a variety of foods.

They are looking for a Category Executive to support in the delivery of the category vision and strategy and meeting customer needs. Reporting in to the Category Strategy Manager, the main responsibilities of the role are:

· Supporting the Customer Strategy Manager (CSM) with conducting internal stakeholder interviews to support understanding of company, customer and consumer needs
· Supporting the CSM in delivering an annual structured review of category knowledge and insights and refreshment of category vision, insight models, strategies and tactical tools
· Working with the CSM and customer management colleagues to undertake the category delivery process with priority customers including category performance analysis, developing customer engagement material and developing a category plan
· Preparing and implementing range recommendations, merchandising plans, promotion plans and supply initiatives
· Providing regular and ad-hoc category performance reports

Candidates should have the following skills an experience:

· Good experience within an FMCG role ideally in a Category role but alternatively in National Accounts or retail buying
· Educated to degree level or equivalent
· Practical experience of the category management process including familiarity with the use of software systems of the data suppliers
· Ability to turn data and information into insights
· Experience of building category range recommendations, category merchandising and supply recommendations and building category promotion and price recommendations
· High levels of numeracy and attention to detail
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
