We're recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's biggest telecoms firms who are looking to appoint at a Senior Management level in their Go To Market Planning function.
These roles control the 6-12 month launch plans for all handset manufacturers and the company's own propositions, aimed at delivering brand, customer and commercial targets. Ensuring effective prioritisation of proposition, acquisition, device, product and in-life messages in market to gain maximum return on investment. Utilising the right message, right channel, right time. This is a highly competitive marketplace so will put your creative and commercial skills to the test.
Ideally the company is searching for an experienced commercial brand marketer, ideally from an FMCG background (although other service industries will suit), who has a track record of leveraging customer insight, sales promotion, brand and communications planning, creative evaluation, and communications measurement to stimulate, drive and measure customer interest in products and drive the commercial bottom line. Naturally as this focuses on the go to market element; experience of launching new products in a competitive market will be highly beneficial.
This will be a member of the senior leadership function, reporting to the Director of go to market and planning. It does not have direct line responsibility, but does have dotted lines across the business including launch management, device communications, roadmap planning, the propositions directorate, customer acquisitions function, brand and comms team, strategy, analysis and insight, including external ATL, BTL and media agencies.

Role: Group Brand Manager (Go to Market Planner)
Location: London
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000
Benefits: £7k car allowance, bonus & blue-chip package
Experience Required:
- Very solid brand management experience with a commercial focus. More aligned to brand and comms for specific products and services aimed at driving commercial returns, rather than just promoting a company brand.
- Experience from big brand FMCG highly desirable, however the client is also happy to consider people from other service based industries, as long as you have had experience delivering launch plans for products and driving commercial returns - much like an FMCG position would align.
- Good all round classic marketing experience. Worked with channels, campaigns. Also solid customer champion, leveraging insight to inform marketing strategy
- Strong track record in planning and evaluating campaigns and creative
- Solid leadership skills, although you won't have a direct team reporting, as this is a senior management role you will need to be able to establish credibility across other senior management within the business
- Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK
