Job Description

Pan European Senior Account Director (Retail/FMCG) -  SE England

Our clients are looking to secure the services of a Senior Account Director with an impressive track record of working in Retail/FMCG to lead a new team dedicated to servicing the Pan European needs of a big brand client across Branding, Point of Sale, Packaging, Communications.

This is a brand new role and our clients see it as pivotal to achieving the success and expansion of this new dimension to their client offering. They need someone with passion, drive, vision and enthusiasm to drive it forward both through the agency and in-house with the client. You will be charged with developing and helping the team and the client into a more rounded retail communications account.

The role will be split across home and the client (SE England) and the agencies Northern office in Leeds.

Consideration will be given to candidates from either agency or clientside backgrounds provided they meet the fundamental criteria of being proven in a brand focused Retail or FMCG background.

The Role:

  • Ensuring projects are handled effectively and profitably
  • Managing the relationship with senior management at the clients' HO
  • Be able to add real commercial value to the relationship and service delivery
  • Become the acknowledged expert on the clients' business
  • Instill commerciality, creativity, professionalism and responsibility at every level of the account

The Person:

  • Have proven experience of directing a high volume account or marketing communications needs of a major blue chip organization with a multi million pound budget on a Pan European basis
  • Be brand focused, and have an excellent understanding of the Retail/FMCG/Insights market
  • Be equally comfortable working at a high end strategic business level, but also at home dealing with the practical aspects of running a major account
  • Enjoy running a team of multi-faceted individuals, and be someone who can inspire, motivate and direct others, and engender trust
  • Be a consummate handler of clients, someone who is totally credible, who invokes trust and belief
  • Be able to convey ideas with passion, understanding, persuasion and bottom line ROI focus
