Working for a leading online consumer services organisation, the Senior Product Manager Online Search / User Experience (UX) Manager / Search User Interface Consultant (UI) role involves optimizing the user experience through all web and mobile properties and driving improvements in the search experience to ensure the consumer finds exactly what they need.
The Senior Product Manager Online Search / User Experience (UX) Manager / Search User Interface Consultant (UI) will own branded Mobile applications and be the champion of the user (consumer) experience on all digital platforms; increase visitors, visits and searches on web properties through the staged and tested development of the user interface (content and functionality); create, develop and enhance mobile offering UX, including WAP, Java, iPhone and other Smart-Phone apps; lead the specification of product requirements; manage the technical product development processes in liaison with the MIS team and report on progress; work with MIS to develop the reporting function on digital properties, including analysis of traffic, user journeys and behaviour; analyse consumer behavior to drive UI improvements; recommend and help integrate external reporting tools where necessary; use competitive analysis and comparison to develop key business insights to support decision making; roll-out new features to commercial product and pricing teams to ensure appropriate monetization and support and develop the Assistant Product Manager.
Candidates for the Senior Product Manager Online Search / User Experience (UX) Manager / Search User Interface Consultant (UI) role must have strong experience designing, developing and improving the user experience, usability and user interfaces or a large search driven consumer website or portal (eg, search engine, retail site, media portal, travel company, shopping comparison site or similar). Candidates will ideally have experience improving the search experience within a large portal (taxonomy, indexing, etc) and A:B testing to test new strategies and drive improvements. Any mobile UI / UX experience is a plus but is not essential.
