Senior category manager - 6 month contract - Leading food business
This is a great opportunity for a category manager with strong commercial acument to join a leading business in the food and drink sector.
You will need excellent commercial awareness and market knowledge and an understanding of how categories operate.
The key to this role is in the ability to build relationships with key customers and help strategically grow the category. You will also be dealing with senior sales people and marketers so will need to have a degree of gravitas and credibility to have an impact on these individuals.
Key areas of this role include:
- To identify commercial opportunities and provide transparent, data lead category based arguments which deliver NPPC financial and strategic objectives ( NPS, Margin, Market Share) whilst providing Customers with incremental growth opportunities.
- To provide an effective interface to key Customers to support the Commercial teams as a Category expert across channels to advise on optimising, range, space, distribution and the presentation of key Brands within a Category context.
- To lead the internal alignment to business priorities and key marketing activities to ensure that executional commitments deliver the operational plan
