Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
*Work in association with Marketing Colleagues to customise category business plans for a specific retail account.
*Ensure the category plans are communicated to key business stakeholders and with the support of Marketing colleagues secure the commitment of senior commercial, supply chain and operational colleagues to the plan
*Ensure the product category plan is aligned with Key Deliverables being; Customer Service, Commercial Growth, Brand Provenance , Quality and Innovation
*Evaluate the correlation between customer and the business targets and prepare strategies to bridge gaps and create increased demand / value
*Develop world class relationships with key stakeholders in all relevant areas of the business, specifically commercial, technical and customer stream.
*Ensure all presentations are formatted to maximise competitive advantages in line with key deliverables.
*Continuously evaluate product performance, market trends and NPD activities to exploit sales profitability opportunities, modifying the Business Plan appropriately (Quarterly basis).
*Conduct quarterly reviews of the businesses incumbent ranges recognising potential threats to contracts and making pro active recommendations to mitigate any threat
*Act as the liaison between the businesses development, fragrance house and in terms of managing fragrance panel's tests in line with launch requirements and timescales.
*Recognise and manage commercial implications driven by orientated product changes
*Undertake weekly store visits and monthly visits to relevant grocery retail accounts and discounters plus regular visits to non food retailers to understand market positions in more premium end of the market
*Ensure contact reports and one on one briefing are held regularly and timely to ensure full clarity.
*Identify and deliver Cost Of Product savings.
*Identify, communicate and plan for where customer points of difference need to be implemented in product range (i.e. customisation)

The ideal candidate will already be working in an FMCG setting with proven success at product management or category development. You will be commercially astute with experience of, NPD, EPD and range management.
