Our client is a leading supplier of Private Label products to Europe's largest and most successful retailers. Although our client's core business is private label they also have a growing portfolio of their own successful brands, which are particularly important in emerging markets where private label is in its infancy. With six factories in the UK, 11 factories in Western Europe and One in both Poland and China our client has an excellent international standing. Due to expansion and exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Marketing Manager has arisen.
The key remit of the role is to implement the product based elements of the strategic marketing category plans. Working with commercial teams to drive the tactical plans identified in the category plans, which form a part of the Key account plans, driving product solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
*Market Understanding - Collect, Interpret and present market information.
*Development of Strategy & Category Plans
oContribute to the production of category plans and budgets as well as information and ideas to the category strategy process
oProject Management of agreed tactical plans.
oPolice NPI process to Drive NPD in line with Category Plans.
*Category Plan implementation
oDeliver communication tactical plans and activities.
oPresent category reviews to customers.
oContribute to the development of products.
oManage and maintain competitive product portfolio.
oManage the liaison with operations for smooth product changes.
oReview rationalisation and decomplexity opportunities within the category.
oContribute to the development of pricing and promotional proposals.
oManage or support customer relationships.
*Measuring Effectiveness - Collate and report measurement information, Participate in KPI reviews.
*Brand Support - Communicate category plans with brand team. Manage and report on delivery against plan for relevant branded projects
*Category Reviews - provide the Category Development Managers with the relevant category initiatives and market trends to complete customer category reviews, and presenting to customers.
*Marketing Communications - assist the Category Development Managers / Executives in the development of customer specific marketing communication plans (trade marketing), ensuring alignment with Category strategy.
*Complexity Management Managing People
The ideal candidate will be of graduate caliber with at least three years product management or customer marketing experience gained in an FMCG setting. Private label experience will be an advantage as will experience of working closely with retail customers.
