Job Description

The Company:

  • Student Chapters in universities worldwide, making it easy for student to network with energy industry professionals
  • Produce over 140 meetings, workshops, conferences, exhibitions throughout the world
  • Generous expenses

The Role:

  • High profile role within leading energy organisation
  • Plan and implement global programmes and workshops that inform, teach and coach students/professionals within the energy sector
  • Extensive travel
  • Working with people from a variety of cultures
  • Co-ordinate initiatives with all offices
  • Set up and manage committees and their awards
  • Develop and assist in organising student activities
  • Manage 3 reports, 2 US based, one in the UK
  • Report to the board on a regular basis
  • Presentations to students/professionals
  • Work on global award and lecture programmes
  • Based in the UK, prepared to go on at least 3 trips of 10 days duration, within the first 9 months

The Person:

  • You will be used to working at an extremely fast pace, have the diplomacy and authority to manage and lead people from a diverse range of cultures
  • Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills
  • Good problem solver
  • Ability to adapt to people from different cultures
  • Able to establish yourself and lead
  • Knowledge of how committees run would be very useful
  • Comfortable giving presentations and responding to questions
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulation
  • Strong writing ability
  • Membership or association experience useful
  • Self starter
  • Know how to build a budget and work to it
  • Exposure to the energy sector an advantage
