PHP Web Developer position in Central London working for an award winning, dynamic and cutting edge digital creative agency. The aim of the PHP Web Developer will be to design, build and maintain high quality multi-tiered object-oriented systems in PHP, to improve existing functionality and build new features and systems.
·Main duties encompass:
·Capturing requirements, producing technical designs and implementing those designs
·Producing high quality documentation at all stages of the project lifecycle as well as stable, optimised and well-commented code
·Providing advice and technical guidance to other developers will also be part of this role
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To apply for the PHP Web Developer opportunity, you must have the following skills and experience:
·An expert in system analysis & design, object oriented theory, regular expressions, logical and physical database design (including normalisation and indexes), SQL and you should be familiar with XML
·You will also be experienced with MySQL, ideally using distributed databases, replication, full-text searching and transactions
·You will also have extensive Linux System Administration experience (ideally Debian) specifically with compiling packages from source, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting and administering sendmail, bind, apache, mysql, pop3/imap and ntp
·From a technical prospective you will be highly proficient in PHP5, (My)SQL, (X)HTML, XML and CSS
