Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for assessing the market potential for our clients products/services including developing the marketing support materials, product definition and producing the product marketing plan.

You will be expected to work closely with the product managers, marketing communications, technical representatives and sales representatives to ensure the smooth launch & delivery of the product to market.

A key part of your role will be to work with the Head of Product Management to develop customer propositions, to build awareness of these propositions and to develop a sales lead generation programme.

You may be working on multiple projects at any one time and will also have the opportunity to contribute to the marketing activities across the full range of products & services.

You will also be for managing a team of Product Marketing Executives.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables

·Ownership of the Product Marketing plan and resources required for targeting the products and maximising sales opportunities

·Assess market opportunities and drive understanding of customer needs

·Development of customer focused propositions including pricing strategies

·Creation and management of lead generation programs to support sales growth

·Track general business indicators, including market share, and competitor's marketing and sales program activities

·Development and on-going management of competitor portfolio analysis, including analysis of competitor strategies and making recommendations to ensure our client maintains a leadership position

·Produce product collateral including brochures, FAQs, solution guides, white papers etc.

·Define the product set we should be offering taking into account market intelligence, competitors offerings, trends in the marketplace, existing customers and the feasibility of the product ensuring product manager & technical representatives are briefed

·Define the target market number of customers, type of customers, potential demand

·Define the key selling points for the product, features & benefits for promotion

·Identify improvements to the product set to ensure sales targets are met identifying ways to generate further leads, improvements to the product set, keeping abreast of movements in the marketplace

Candidate Profile

·Educated to degree level or equivalent
·Recognised professional Marketing qualification
·Previous experience in a product management or product marketing role
·An understanding of Internet Technologies is essential
·Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail
