Job Description
We are currently seeking a number of energetic, proactive and highly experienced Partner Marketing Managers to act as the single point of contact for SMB channel partners in order for them to successfully execute partner marketing initiatives.
Our client is a major global player in technology solutions within the networking and communications sector offering leading edge, emerging technologies and solutions to enterprises and SMBs worldwide.
The role
- Report to the Manager, Marketing Services Organisation (MSO) for Europe.
- Promote channel partner adoption of partner marketing initiatives as well as advise and recommend the most appropriate use of marcoms tactics to ensure successful execution and drive partner revenue generation.
- Liaise and as required co-ordinate the services of preferred central and regional / local preferred suppliers / agencies to ensure that partner plays are executed in accordance with pre-agreed SLAs.
- Liaise with the relevant Geo / Regional Territory Market Managers (TMMs) to ensure SMB sales / channel plans are supported via the delivery of partner initiatives.
- Act as a champion in promoting partner usage of the Campaign Builder platform.
- Work closely with the Channels Marketing, Field Marketing and SMB Marcoms teams.
- Discuss and advise on the best use of demand / lead generation and awareness / brand building strategies. Recommend the optimum mix of marcoms assets and tactics including Telemarketing (particularly outbound), Direct Mail, Email marketing, Web activity, Seminars, Live or Online events etc.
- Provide regular reports / updates to Operations and SMB / SMB Marcoms teams on the adoption of plays, partner challenges, feedback and results and drive process improvement.
- Identify and share best practice across the MSO community and Global MSO team.
- Review ongoing performance and improvement in service delivery from preferred suppliers supporting Partner initiatives.
- Produce weekly reports on Partner initiative adoption, highlights and challenges.
- To work for Wilson Miller Resourcing, one the UKs leading providers of outsourced marketing communications professionals, and based within our client company.
- This is a contract role until 31 July 2009.
The person
- Must speak a second language or be a native speaker of one or more of the following languages - German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch, Flemish.
- Must have experience of working within the technology, computer networking or telecoms industries.
- Must have experience of working with or for a channel / reseller organisation.
- Able to work consistently well under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines.
- Strong relationship building skills and excellent communication skills particularly in a virtual working environment.
- Good problem solver, strategic thinker and strong planning and project management capabilities.
- Display a strong customer service ethic.
- Able to identify emerging trends and take appropriate action.
- Excellent team player and able to work as part of and / or lead virtual project teams.
- Have a good appreciation and working knowledge of the value of marketing data and data management practices and understand how best to leverage the same, to deliver the best campaign
- Good understanding of data protection and customer privacy practices
