Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced consumer Marketing Communications professional to head up the Marketing Services function for this national multi-site leisure retail business and to take ownership of the development and execution of the annual brand marketing plan, ensuring effective and impactful customer communications and promotions across the UK retail estate.

Responsibilities:

*Develop, manage and execute the annual marketing and traditional media plan to the best effect, delivering against commercial and customer behaviour targets, bringing the brand to life and increasing customer engagement and loyalty
*Work closely with the Marketing Director & Product Director in managing the annual core marketing budget and plan
*Overseeing the execution and delivery of the annual marketing plan including traditional media, collateral and promotional plans
*Responsibility for day-to-day brand management and activation, ensuring presentation is consistent and complementary across all channels and any development of brand credentials moving forward
*Responsible for the creation, management and execution of both the planned activity and reactive trading calendars liaising with associated stakeholders, as well as the on-going execution of the brand customer journey
*Improve the effectiveness of any local marketing or media activity through the development of a toolkit model, ensuring content and cost of use encourage committed and enthusiastic at operational and management level
*Provide effective delivery support for new concepts
*Responsible for the Marketing Services team's personal development
*Ensure effective management of the in-house Artwork/Studio resource
*Manage the relationships with key internal stakeholders, including the Product and business development team, key operators, Regional Managers, General Managers and the marketing team
*Manage and evolve existing and new core marketing related supplier relationships to ensure best service at all times, looking at opportunities to develop our own internal resources and reduce our reliability on external suppliers

Background
*Exceptionally detail focused
*Deadline driven with the ability to manage many projects concurrently
*Strong understanding and extensive experience of all retail marketing techniques including managing creative, copywriting, print management, etc
*Experience in managing and working with traditional media channels including print, radio, outdoor and TV
*Experience in developing and executing retail marketing plans and developing clean, strong creative and messaging
*Experienced in Brand marketing and development, with a proven ability to think strategically
*Proven experience of hands-on management of an artwork studio resource
*Strong organisational skills, and experience of multitasking
*Evidence of strong management of marketing agency personnel
*Evidence of strong people, budgetary and project management skills and managing multi-disciplined teams
*Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and third party service providers
*Evidence of being a visible and approachable leader within a Retail Estate environment
*Ideally a mix of agency and client side experience, from either a retail or leisure environment
