Job Description

Our client is looking for a Dynamic General Manager, to take their Golf Club to the next level of Service and Quality.

 The Main responsibilities of the new Manager will be......

Take responsibility for the strategic positioning and development of the business this should include quarterly competitive marketing analysis carried out by you.

Be responsible for the preparation and implementation of business plans, financial budgets, marketing plans and Capex schedules to grow the operating profit of the business.

Be responsible for the business following its business plan and achieving/exceeding the key financial targets below.

  • Membership income
  • Forward Book
  • Casual Sales
  • Margins
  • Overheads
  • Payroll
  • Utilities

Implement and monitor all financial controls and take personal responsibility for all cash handling.

Take personal responsibility for ensuring that legitimate month accruals are processed accurately and in the correct month.

Produce weekly/monthly figures and operational reports on time.

Provide innovative and proactive marketing to communicate and promote the services provided by the club to members, guests and visitors

To recruit, manage, motivate and develop staff.

To hold weekly meetings with HOD's and their line staff where appropriate. Know and check that all action points and communication is cascaded down to all line staff in the business. Hold at least two all staff meetings per annum.

Deliver maintenance and cleanliness standards that meet or exceed group standards.

Deliver the correct implementation of all company health and safety policy and all other statutory requirements.

Add value to the divisional team and assist it in achieving its objectives

Take full responsible control for the security of the site and act as a main contact for any third party security agents

Any successful applicant will need to be flexible on working hours and be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
