Event Management Sales Manager, Reading, Berkshire. £35,000 Basic salary plus bonuses (circa £40K to £50K OTE)

Brilliant role within a well established and recognised Event Management business that boasts many FTSE 100 companies amongst its major clients. Managing the internal sales team and spearheading all account management and new business development the intention is for you to hire two business developers to finalise your team.

Due to a recent emigration to Australia the company have taken the opportunity to split the incumbents' duties creating this rare and exciting role.

To succeed you will have experience within Event Management or aligned sales, perhaps selling for a conference centre, major hotel chain or Corporate Hospitality provider. The company are willing to take an exceptional sales professional without management experience and develop them into this role.
The role reports directly into the dynamic and highly entrepreneurial Managing Director who is sure to be a huge mentor to whoever is fortunate enough to secure this rare role.

In terms of requirements you will be sales led, professional, assertive, organised and a focused team player. You will be an outgoing and gregarious personality that is also incredibly organised and IT literate. The company operate at the upper end of the marketplace and have successfully delivered events costing tens of thousands of pounds. You must be therefore be 100% committed to customer service and able to genuinely build rapport at the very highest of levels. You will be an effervescent, enthusiastic, articulate and motivated professional that is good fun yet corporate in approach.
