Exciting leisure travel brand looking to recruit an Assistant Business Performance Manager. Reporting directly to the Head of CRM, Insight and Business Performance, responsibilities will include producing, measuring and re-forecasting the 5 year business plan and 1 year marketing plan, looking at volume, revenues and product mix to ensure they are in line with business targets and input the activity required to drive volumes. In addition you will look at the performance of each Marketing channel and particularly at advertising campaigns - investigating how each media type and publication performs vs. target.
Responsibilities:
*To lead the econometric modelling within the business - building media optimisation models that are best in class and allow accurate allocation of budget
*To analyse assess and query rate of sale in previous years to set the passenger targets by month and week for the future year. To set the revenue and profit targets based on previous analysis and the overall business targets
*To work with the Product Director and Head of Product, working through Product targets and what is realistic and achievable
*To determine the rate of sale for each product inputting capacity and overall business targets by product and required revenue
*To input all marketing activity into the plan, analysing previous response rates using Matchback analysis from the database
*Work out lag times in customer buying behaviour and response curves from mailing and advertising
*To provide analysis on customer behaviour - when customers buy certain products to influence campaign planning
*To have a direct influence on improving the retention rate of the business through recommending targeted and cost effective retention and reactivation campaigns.
*To influence directly mailing data selections using previous analysis on Response data and Response curves
*To work with the Database team in measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and use the learnings to influence future planning
*To create a model that will make tactical decisions allowing the business to understand "what if" scenarios for driving revenue.
*To assess channel performance using lag data, industry standard data and internal modelling to assess channel mix and performance (eg online, advertising, trade)
*To assist the Head of Planning, Marketing Director, Finance Director and CEO in analysis that will allow the business to make strategic decisions
*To assess market trend data and build into the plan
*Support the Brand Strategy Managers in ad hoc analysis
The successful candidate will have;
* Significant experience in marketing campaign selections, planning or database analysis roles
* Degree in an analytical discipline a strong advantage
* Experience of either SAS (preferred) or SQL. Knowledge of smartFocus is also advantageous
* Ability to write, alter and maintain programming code using SAS or SQL
* Expert level of technical knowledge, with excellent Excel skills
* Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise
* An eye for detail is essential
* Ability to communicate insight and technical information to a business audience in a clear, concise manner
