Job Description

My client is recruiting for a Marketing Officer to work within their fast paced environment.
Duties:
· To support the overall marketing objectives both externally and internally
· To assist with the development and implementation of the development plan to ensure it meets objective and targets
· To take responsibility for originating and planning campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing Manager
· To develop promotional opportunities and ideas from conception through to delivery
· Through departmental meetings and one to one interviews with line manager provide progress reports on campaigns to ensure effective delivery
· Supply sufficient information to the Marketing Manager to enable effective budgetary control of specific areas of activity
· Supply weekly management reports on footfall and admissions income
· To attend public programme activities and other events as required out of normal office hour
· To ensure all promotional material reflect brand guidelines and maximise the visitor experience
· To deputise for the Marketing Manager as required
· Supporting the Group Bookings Office in processing group bookings as required
· To be responsible for data base management and effective implementation of targeted campaigns both on-line and through direct mail
· To be responsible for managing an image library for promotional purposes
· To represent the company at travel trade shows including maximizing opportunities for audience growth at these events
Strategy/Campaigns
· To assist with the implementation of the marketing strategy as agreed
· Assist in coordinating the design and production of printed materials to ensure brand consistency
· To take responsibility for implementing niche marketing programmes
· Working closely with the Marketing and Merchandise Managers to develop and deliver a retail marketing plan
· Working in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the on-line shop is accessible, easy to navigate and well presented
· To develop a sales and marketing plan to maximise corporate hire. This includes direct sales with potential and regular clients and developing an operational plan for out of hours operations. Liaising with approved catering companies and potential clients to ensure effective delivery of functions
· Maintain liaison with external and internal suppliers, assisting in commissioning and delivery of marketing material
· Provide accurate and creative copy writing and proof reading skills as directed by the Marketing Manager and working to pre-agreed deadlines
· Ensure that all printed promotional material is distributed effectively to approved outlets and for reviewing the distribution plan
