Photography Executive, £18k, Peterborough

Position: Photography Executive
Salary: Circa £16,000 - 18,000
Location: Peterborough

ROLE:
To administer and process all photographic digital asset's, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy across the department

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
a) Responsible for continuous upkeep of all group photographic assets, ensuring that all legal considerations are adhered to.
b) Responsible for day-to-day decisions relating to work carried out in the most effective manner possible and completed on schedule.
c) To work as an effective member of the team offering support to team members and customers when necessary.
d) To support other team members and department staff in achieving their objectives.
e) Adapt to new working practices that are identified for new technology and increasing e-commerce partners.
f) Input and maintain digital assets in order that all required photography tasks are fulfilled and completed to schedule; edited; selected, and input to relevant database for immediate use.
g) To process extract and asset requests, maintaining good relationships with group customers.
h) Keep other group photography users advised of material held that may be of interest to them ensuring copyright is adhered to.
i) To identify efficiencies, continually assessing requirements and adapting new processes accordingly.

ESSENTIAL
a) Good telephone manner.
b) Confident. Ability to mix with colleagues at all levels.
c) Logical approach and able to cope with complex processes and procedures with the ability to prioritise.
d) Communicates well.
e) Able to work under pressure and keep to deadlines. Open to new ideas, as well as continuously analysing current procedures to improve them.
f) Long hours when required.
g) Accuracy and attention to detail essential
h) Knowledge of photographic techniques and equipment, particularly digital.
i) Experienced of computer database for digital photography.
j) In depth knowledge and experience of Photoshop. Publishing and Image Database experience essential. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
k) Both Mac and PC.

DESIRABLE
a) Qualification in Visual Art or Photography. Educated to GCSE or equivalent.

You may have had experience in the following roles: Photographic Executive, Photographic Administrator, Graphic Design, Print Design, Art Worker, Digital Print, Technical Photography, Film Photography, Photographic Administration etc.
