Calling all product managers in the midlands! This is a great opportunity to lead and develop a product team for this B2B manufacturer of timber-based products.
You'll be managing cross functional relationships and continuously developing and evaluating the product range to ensure the product portfolio remains market leading.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management and product development
- To review and develop the existing product range
- To identify, review and develop new product opportunities
- To manage the process for discontinuation of products when appropriate
- To manage the relationships with internal departments to ensure awareness of projects
Market Awareness
- To identify and monitor category trends
- To ensure that products are in line with current legislation
- To manage the collation, analysis and communication of competitor promotional activity
Marketing Communications
- To ensure accurate communications internally and externally for existing product range and new introductions
- Liaising with communications teams
Team Management
- To manage, coach and develop the Product teams to ensure the categories are effectively managed.
- To work with Product Manager to develop their skills in managing, coaching and developing their teams.
Key Requirements:
- Graduate standard with or relevant vocational qualification/experience
- Previous senior level category and people management experience
- Experience of working in a B2B "Product" environment
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Logical and methodical

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
