Job Description

Junior Web Designer must be able to hand code HTML - 1 year contract -
An exciting opportunity has arisen within this well known publishers looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, self motivated and talented web designer to bring their online travel guides to life...online!

Working closely with the Senior Designer, you will be responsible for generating ideas, designing, developing, maintaining and updating travel sites well as creating other online marketing assets.

You will be able to create compelling and engaging websites using CSS layouts and HTML expertise as well as devising and implementing new features and functionality;

Applicants should:
· Have a degree or equivalent in new media design or similar
· Have a strong sense of design and visual layout
· Be able to demonstrate knowledge of page and information design
· Have an understanding of usability and accessibility
· Be brand aware and be able to maintain brand guidelines
· Knowledge of email marketing an advantage
· An understanding of emerging technologies is a bonus

The ideal candidate will be very creative, results orientated, not afraid to stretch his or her self, have meticulous attention to detail and understand the attractions of a publisher's website for other book lovers.
