Middle Weight Planer (Digital / New Media) Central London £45K

Client: Syzygy
Position: Mid-weight Planner
Location: Office is located in Hatton Garden, in the heart of Midtown between Holborn and Clerkenwell
Salary: £30-45K Basic

COMPANY:
Syzygy is a top five European interactive agency based in London (90 employees), Hamburg (45 employees) and Frankfurt (110 employees). They have been designing and building sites for blue-chip clients for over 12 years. They know this marketplace as well as any agency you may be interested in working for, if not better.

ROLE:
2008 has given Syzygy the opportunity to re-boot the way they work with their clients. They now have the right management team in place with a new, robust and agreed way of working; the foundations for effectively bringing together all the diverse talents in their business.

A key pillar of the new way they work is their planning function. Recent business wins and growing requests for strategic thinking from clients has given Syzygy the opportunity to expand the planning team. They also have the opportunity to reshape their research offering, so they have lots of opportunities for the right candidate.

You could have worked either with a blue chip company or an agency. You could have experience of strategic, account planning, communications planning, research and/or media planning. Your exact background is less important than your ability, potential and aptitude.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) You will be a mid-weight planner with 3-5 years planning experience, with at least two years working on digital projects.
b) An understanding of how brand identities are developed and evolved, especially online.
c) A passion for digital; from social networks and portals to buying and managing services online.
d) An understanding of how companies sell and grow value from their customers (and partners); from first click to ongoing relationships.
e) An ability to turn research and reports into strong recommendations; creating value for our clients and revenue for our business.
f) Demonstrate a balance of logic, numeracy and creativity.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) A pan-European understanding of cultures. Ideally, we are looking for someone who understands post-soviet Russia, CIS and/or Central and Eastern Europe (although this is not essential).
