This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive individual to join this high performing and global retailer, within their commercial team. The purpose of the role is to assist in managing all aspects of web-influenced sales for the relevant categories and effectively implement the online plans. The role holder will also consider marketing opportunities for all promotions, provide cross-sell and up-sell, delivery and essentials offerings, and by brief regular buying guides for their categories.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Monitor web sales and profit performance against targets. Understand the web influence impact on total category performance.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of competitors’ trading offer, communicating and proposing web price moves or promotional activity where necessary.
• Liaise closely with the category team, ensuring their plans are supported online, and that web activities are appropriately funded and supported by the team.
• Implement and maintain an ongoing promotional deal programme to drives sales, customer retention and provide standout in the online market. Analyse results weekly using web analytics and sales data, sharing learnings with the team.
• Conduct and document ongoing monthly category audit plans, using web analytics and customer survey feedback to improve and propose improvement to product and category presentation.
• Maintain an accurately merchandised site, ensuring data inaccuracies are resolved quickly.
• Brief marketing team on weekly activities and propose partner activity support for promotions and campaigns.
• Brief content team to provide onsite content to support promotions and campaigns.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be outgoing and highly organised, as well as displaying excellent communication and problem solving skills. You will be a graduate with a strong academic record and good analytical skills. You will require previous commercial experience ideally in a similar commercial or online or marketing role.
