Digital Account Manager
Location Manchester
Salary - £25k - £35k
Role and mission:
·A key member of the Digital team working on a range of clients
·Liaising with internal teams across four offices (Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow & Leeds) to provide vital information on digital marketing opportunities for clients
·Main role is to plan and buy online display advertising to an excellent standard for all clients
Key responsibilities are to:
·Clearly and professionally create and present campaign proposals and results to clients
·Plan and deliver accurate online media schedules in line with client objectives, choosing the most appropriate mix of channel, sites, formats, creative sizes, position, frequency, etc for optimum results
·Negotiate best possible rates and discounts for a variety of payment methods, e.g. CPM, CPC, CPA
·Accurately administer financial process, ensuring all appropriate order, payment and invoicing information is completed
·Working with campaign managers, set up each campaign in the ad serving system, ensuring all tracking is in place
·Monitor and optimise campaigns as required in conjunction with campaign managers
·Produce accurate statistics, analyse results and give recommendations for future campaigns to colleagues and clients
·Build and maintain professional, productive working relationships with media owners, digital partners and colleagues from the Group
Essential attributes of successful candidate:
·Minimum of 3 years' agency experience, of which ideally 18 months in online planning and buying
·Thorough understanding of online planning, buying, trafficking, tracking and analysis
·Understanding of the complete digital mix and where it fits in the overall communications strategy
·Excellent presentation skills
·Exceptional client management skills with a proven track record of working with senior clients
·Ability to synthesise and analyse vast quantities of data into meaningful reports
·Good analytical skills for data response evaluation
·Utmost attention to detail
·Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
Desirable, but not essential attributes of successful candidate:
·Experience of financial services industry sector
·Working knowledge of DDS media booking system, AdRelevance and Comscore
·Experience of liaising with and briefing digital creative agencies
Essential 'personal' qualities
·Passionate and highly knowledgeable about online media
·The ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team with Digital colleagues and comms planning teams across four offices
·Confidence dealing with colleagues and clients ability to be assertive without being aggressive
·Cope well working under pressure
·Quick to learn and keen to develop
