This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, self motivated individual to work as a Category Executive for this high performing, internationally recognised FMCG company based in Hampshire. The main responsibilities within this role will include gathering, managing and communicating data internally as well as planning, implementing and managing marketing activities, to maximise support for the retail brands.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Analyse and interpret market data and perform competitor analyses to provide an overview of brand and retail brand developments
• Highlight any gaps/opportunities to move into new markets and communicate this information back to the rest of the marketing team
• Analyse and monitor the success of retail promotions using EPOS data and results from field marketing activity
• Make recommendations to aid the buying process by suggesting potential profitable lines
• Analyse competitor developments across UK and Europe and perform regular retail audits to monitor price positioning, new product introductions and promotional activity
• Develop and maintain relationships with supply chain both internally and with the account and communicating relevant information
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with your own accounts
• Ensuring all internal account administration is up to date
To succeed in this role you will be of graduate calibre with work experience within an FMCG environment either within a national account executive, analysis, buying or marketing position. Strong communication, analysis and networking skills are essential in this role, as is attention to detail. Experience in preparing and delivering presentations would be useful in order to carry out the role effectively.
