A leading FMCG food company requires an interim Trade Marketing Assistant to join the team, initially on a six month maternity contract.
The main purpose of the role is to support the marketing team in delivering marketing strategy.
The main responsibilities will be to:
• Analyse product and category data to ensure that accurate commercial decisions relating to promotions and pricing can be made.
• Collate monthly promotion and category data by channel and customer to provide the sales team with accurate information to support their sales meetings with customers.
• Support the delivery of all design work - liaising with printers and designers to ensure all materials (leaflets, price lists, welcome packs, website etc) are delivered on time and to budget
• Ensure all foodservice promotional materials are approved for use by the marketing controller in a timely manner to ensure all costs are controlled and relevant opportunities are not lost.
• Collate, write and deliver the monthly marketing newsletter to ensure the sales team and wider business are kept up-to-date with the progress of the foodservice strategy.
The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, ideally with a CIM or marketing qualification. An understanding of the food service industry is also preferable and the ability to collate and analyse data is essential.
