Media Manager / Communications Manager / PR Manager, to £50K

Our client recognised leader among organisations promoting farm animal welfare, with a highly successful record in campaigning and lobbying in the UK, the EU and internationally.

Position: Director of Media
Location: Godalming, Surrey (2 minutes walk from Godalming mainline station)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

ROLE:
As part of the ongoing growth and development of our client`s organisation, they are looking to appoint a Director of Media to develop and implement visionary communications strategies in the UK and internationally and to drive all media activity including cutting-edge investigative work. Reporting to the CEO, this newly created role will operate as part of the Senior Management Team and therefore, in addition to developing a highly impactful media profile, the successful applicant will play a role in the strategic development of client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for our client`s media and investigations work in the UK, Europe and internationally.
b) Responsible for the direction and management of the Media and Investigations Department.
c) Responsible for media and investigations budgets.
d) Sign-off on press releases, video news releases and other materials for the media (UK and international).
e) Sign-off on investigative materials for public release.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience in a senior media relations role.
b) Demonstrable experience managing projects and teams across a breadth of media channels.
c) Educated to degree level or equivalent.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of dealing with media projects within the Animal Welfare, Farming, Agricultural or within a Non-Governmental Organisation would be highly desirable.
