Job Description

Business Development Director - SW London - DM - 70K + Bens

The Agency: This agency is one of the UK's leading independent Direct Marketing agencies. Based in a great SW London location they are a new breed of modern, creative communication agency with interesting, inspirational, adventurous and ambitious people. They are growing rapidly and always striving to achieve more, they have a can do and positive attitude instilled throughout the whole agency which has translated into multiple awards for innovation, performance and communication. Objective of role:

The primary purpose of this role is to spearhead the agencies new business drive. This should be undertaken by working with the senior team to identify suitable sectors, organisations and prospects. Then identifying and targeting suitable prospect client companies with a relevant and targeted approach. Will also include managing relationships with agency intermediaries, managing the overall marketing of the agencies services and lead the agencies pitch process to achieve new business targets and goals.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver a new business plan for the agency - targeting sectors, organisations and relevant activity. Manage the prospect relationship management process for agency and engineer situations to maintain an interesting and relevant dialogue with our prospects. e.g. research, case studies, meetings, events, conferences, lunches, mailings etc

Deliver and execute a marketing and PR plan for the agency that keeps the agency in the forefront of the trade press, top of mind for prospective clients, recruitment agencies and trade bodies.

Strong commercial acumen to optimise the potential in every client relationship, through smart negotiation skills, financial management (forecasting, debtors, billing, margin, etc) and influencing net profitability.
