Director of Communications / Communications Manager
London EC1
c£70,000 DOE Plus 25 Days Holiday + Christmas Shutdown, Pension Scheme

They work in a variety of ways to bring about positive change and improve treatment and care. An opportunity has now arisen for a Director of Communications / Communications Manager to join their team.

For this role, our client is looking for someone with a track record in leading communications functions and knowledge of the full media mix.

As a Director of Communications / Communications Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the companys communication strategy.

This will involve promoting the companys brand, maintaining high levels of membership and maximising company awareness.

You will also contribute to the overall direction of the company and its communication activities.

You will be tasked with:

- Leading the development of an innovative and effective external and internal communications strategy
- Building, developing, motivating and leading the communications team
- Ensuring the communication department operates within budget
- Contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company
- Promoting and representing the company in the media

To be considered for the role of Director of Communications / Communications Manager, you must have:

- A track record in leading communications functions
- Experience of controlling budgets
- Knowledge of the full media mix

Additionally, you must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. A creative and entrepreneurial approach is also key.

Although not essential, any charity work experience would be a distinct advantage to your application.
