DATABASE MARKETING MANAGER - EUROPE - WITH SAS - up to £45,000 plus 10% bonus
Provide database and analytical support for the European Direct Marketing team in order that the team can deliver against their objectives/targets.
SAS EXPERIENCE IS ABSOLUTELY A MUST HAVE FOR THIS ROLE.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Support
• Manipulating complex customer data into actionable information for customer contact programs
• Managing the data schedule to ensure the European direct marketing teams data requirements are understood, scheduled and delivered on time.
• Implement best practice procedures for the database team which facilitate documented processes, shared learning and quality campaign execution and post campaign analysis.
• Liaison between European Direct Marketing and Group IS
Analysis
• Campaign evaluation in terms of ROI and response/conversion rates (weekly/monthly/cumulative reporting)
• Propensity modelling which drives improvements in campaign effectiveness
• Performing statistical analysis, profiling and modelling of customer data to provide insight into local Phone House customer bases
Database Development
• Input into the development and exploitation of the campaign management tool (E.Phiphany) across The Phone House group.
• Involvement in the deployment of an analytical tool across the direct marketing team
• Input into the development of the single customer view database in order to maximise direct marketing functionality (e.g cleansing, introduction of flags, improving usability, supplementary data)

Person Specification:
• Ideally educated to degree level, A Level maths essential with at least 5 years commercial experience with a statistical background
• Experience in running large database queries and campaign extracts essential ideally via epiphany or a similar campaign management tool
• Experience in using data mining tools (e.g SAS) and model building ESSENTIAL.
• Familiar with Oracle, business objects, and ideally alterian
• Experience in liasing with external agencies and suppliers
• Strategic thinker who is a self starter and team player
• Excellent analytical and interpersonnel skills
• Commercial vision
