Reporting to the UK and Ireland Head of Business Development & Marketing the COO will lead a business critical team within BD&M who are charged with delivering on many of the fundamental KPIs of the team. The COO will be an integral part of the BD&M leadership team and will have a major role to play in pan-EMEIA area programmes and developments.

About the Role
Objectives of role - to provide leadership to teams in: Sales Reporting - Accurate and reliable reporting of UKI sales results and pipeline is a vital tool for the leadership in the management of the business. The role will require close liaison and cooperation with the Financial Directors of each serviceline to develop and improve the sales reporting pack and the commentary we provide. Budget management for non-chargeable codes will be an integral part of the role particularly given the focus on cost management. The win/loss review process is less well established in UKI and we need to embed this into the UKI business during FY'09. Sales Campaigns and EoY - Sales Campaigns are going to be an integral part of how the firm is going to go about business going forward - they will be happening on a quarterly cycle.
Driving the nature and content of the discussions with PATs is a vital part of what BD&M is all about and ensuring they have the right campaigns with the best collateral and network of champions is a vital part of the role. Sales Co-ordinators - There is a network of sales co-ordinators in each of our key cluster offices - they report directly into the Business Development leaders in each office however the COO will have a vital role to play in directing the content and focus of their roles. The COO will also have an important role to play on a team that is focussed on determining the future location of some work streams currently carried out by sales co-ordinators.
What Were Looking For
Experience of leading a marketing and BD function in a global professional services firm - ideally an accountancy practice - would be preferred. Strong stakeholder management abilities and a track record of working at board levels are required.
