They are looking for someone who has exceptional knowledge of selling façade systems, they would also look at someone who has experience of selling cladding or curtain walling products or they may consider someone who sells into envelope contractors, main contractors, sub-contractors, structural engineers, specialist installers & architects & specifiers. At a real push, we would look at people with experience of roofing systems, flooring systems or wall framing products, someone who has sold either specialist aluminium, architectural glazing, terracotta, metal rainscreens, renders, high pressure laminates or insulation products to work throughout the uk.
As a commercial director construction, you will create and implement a strategy to identify and secure new business opportunities as well as furthering existing relationships with clients including envelope contractors, main contractors, sub-contractors, structural engineers, specialist installers & architects & specifiers. You will also be responsible for a team of up to 5-6 regional sales managers, new product development, route to market guidance as well as full sales & marketing responsibilities for the division.
Responsible to the managing director, you will be responsible for your own personal target and youre team target, ensuring you hit set targets, and further develop profitable sales. Key aspects include managing proposals, preparing forecasts, managing key accounts and contributing to the marketing strategy within key business areas. A critical requirement will be the ability to lead successful contract negotiations at a senior level involving both technical and commercial issues.
