This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially-minded individual to actively manage the market development activity of WALLTITEŽ; an innovative PU spray-foam insulation material which offers superior performance to traditional materials in a variety of building applications.
Developed by BASF, the worlds leading chemical company, and promoted to the UK market from their manufacturing base near Derby, the product range has already enjoyed initial success and is now set to deliver considerable market growth. Promoted through specifiers, trade shows, CPD seminars and technical demonstration, this business development and advocacy role will be fundamental to future product success and revenue within this highly competitive market.
Reporting to the Business Manager - Insulation, the appointee will be responsible for the increasing market awareness and specification of WALLTITEŽ throughout the region and, as appropriate, across the UK and Ireland, in order to secure product specifications, generate qualified leads, increase sales and enhance reputation.
With a hands-on approach and working with architects, surveyors, building contractors and authorities, the role will require broad sector knowledge, technical understanding, strong commercial and cultural awareness and a talent for building effective relationships that lead to increased revenue. As an effective advocate for the company at all levels, the successful candidate will relish the opportunity to develop the sales of technical solutions through personal presentation and direct engagement with the market.
Candidates, ideally qualified to degree level in a building or construction related discipline, will have a demonstrable track record of developing market growth in domestic / commercial construction or at an insulation material manufacturer and possess fundamental knowledge of building regulations and modern construction techniques, particularly with regard to insulation and the building envelope, sustainability (eg: BREEAM) and design software.
Strong experience of solution-based selling of specified products and the ability to identify and deliver market opportunities will be pre-requisites, along with strong networking skills, good IT and exemplary presentation skills. The individual will be a persuasive and effective communicator with the ability to engage, motivate, influence and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders across a broad sector. The role will appeal to a self-starter with strong analysis and decision-making skills who is enthusiastic about making a real difference to the organisation, and will offer an increasingly higher profile and scope for personal development as success is delivered.
