E-Commerce Manager - Loughborough

E-Commerce Manager - Marketing - Loughborough.  Zest Medical Scientific Recruitment division is working in partnership with a leading player in the supply of consumables and instrumentation to the Scientific research community.  Working specifically in the Content Management Group within the Marketing team this role is key to the commercial success and maximisation of catalogue products to the organisations E-Commerce customer base.  The successful candidate will be required to liaise with the various departments and customer groups regarding product lines and ensure that product information, technical specifications and pricing is successfully transposed to the E-Commerce portal.  Key skills within this role will be attention to detail, database management, knowledge/understanding of web based catalogues and E-Commerce portals, customer service/management, project analysis, marketing initiatives and knowledge of new system implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Manage and maintain a schedule of e-commerce product data tasks taking account of priorities and timescales required by customers and the Sales Department.
• Liaise with the Sales Department and the CRM group to originate and refine specifications for e-commerce catalogues to meet and comply with customer requirements.
• To upload e-commerce product data to dedicated web based portals or other transfer pathways, ensuring any errors or problems that arise are resolved before final release of data to the customer.
• Liaise with representatives of e-commerce market places, the Sales Department, customers, CRM group and any other related parties to ensure that e-commerce product data is as accurate and timely as possible
• Provide individual customer price files, which reflect the particular customer's product range and their contract and discounted prices, in the timescale required to maximise margin opportunities and minimise any potential invoice queries.
• To maintain and manage product data required for the web catalogue in liaison with the Content Management Group team.
• Provide miscellaneous product data outputs to agreed specifications for marketing, sales and other departments.
• Provide effective training and supervision of any temporary staff that are required at times of high workload.
• The product base is extensive and relates to wide area of scientific applications; as such the successful candidate will ideally have a science related background or alternatively have an interest in science that will enable them to quickly gain an understanding of the technical specifications of the equipment being marketed.
